FEARLESS LEADER

By: Mckenzie S., 4th Grade

Meet Mr. Thomas, our principal. If he could add anyone to Mount Rushmore it would be Donatello, the Ninja Turtle because he is under-appreciated. In college he ate 3 Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches that were still alive. For a musical artist he prefers Norah Jones (“She is pretty chill”). When he was in school he was sent to the principal’s office when he was 5 (a sore subject), loved dodgeball in PE, and enjoyed wearing hats as his fashion trend. Social Studies was Mr. Thomas’ favorite subject but he didn’t really like Science (good thing he works at a Science school). For some randomness, he likes naps, doesn’t know what an emoji is, and would love to hangout with monkeys in Costa Rica as his preferred trip. If he could add to the school lunch menu, his go to would be Tombstone Pizza and if he could take a class on a field trip, it would be to Kennedy Space Center. When he was a kid he really wanted to be the centerfielder for the Baltimore Orioles. Hopefully everyone has a favorite teacher. Mr. Thomas’ favorite was Mr. Soud, who helped him become a solid writer in his Honors and AP English Classes.

OUR “A.P.” IS A-PLUS!

By: Blair P., 5th grade

Meet Mrs. Canty, our assistant principal. Bugs Bunny is Mrs. Canty’s cartoon character that she would pick to help her with her job, he is really funny so they could make jokes at school together. A long time ago Mrs. Canty was in elementary school and she loved the Box Car Children series, even though her favorite subject was math and her least favorite subject was reading. Mrs. Canty would pick time traveling as her superpower to help her with her job. Though Mrs. Canty is an assistant principal, when she was younger she always wanted to be a nurse. She can be serious, but in elementary school she got sent to the principal’s office because she was talking way too much. It is really silly to be sent to the principal’s office for talking a lot but it was a different time. A really funny mistake Mrs. Canty
made in elementary school, was getting gum stuck in her hair during class. Would you like a pool in the school for special area? Well, if you said yes you
are in luck because Mrs. Canty said that she would want to have a pool if she could buy something crazy for the school with unlimited funds. If she could have a theme song, it would be “Eye of the Tiger” playing when she walks down the hallway (That is really fun). For lunch, Mrs. Canty would want the Cava and their chicken bowl if she could add a restaurant in the cafeteria. She always wanted to go to Greece for a long vacation without all of the loud noises in the school. In elementary school she always loved her teacher Mrs. Lily in 3rd grade. Last but not least, her most used emoji is the double exclamation point.
