First Federal will be giving away a $25.00 gift card from Wal-Mart for the month of March.  The March Bank in Schools Day is March 10, and the drawing will be done then.  This is for any new or existing Squirrel's Club member.

Tip of the Day

Instead of using bottled water, get a reusable container to carry water.  Get a filter to make your home tap water taste more like bottled water. It is definitely more cost efficient.

CAMP INVENTION is coming to St, Andrew's!
 
Camp Invention is a week-long adventure that fosters inventive-thinking skills, science literacy, history and the arts in five activity-oriented modules.  Our school has been selected to host the Camp Invention program for our County.

Pi Anyone?
 
Third graders celebrated National Pi Day. Students were able to review the parts of a circle by using a cookie cake.  Learning how to find the circumference of a circle was never more yummy!

Successful Science Night
 
Thanks to students, teachers, parents, and science community agencies for a successful science night! Over 400 people attended. Students presented their science projects to family members and visiitors. All enjoyed the exhibitors from our science community. 


Congratulations to Mathfest Winners!
 
The state competition was held at Blythewood High School in Columbia, SC. Six students won a "Top 15" award for their grade level. Congratulations to Jimmy Thorne, Manish Patnaik, Caroline Hamrick, Jackson Bracy, Sohan Kotecha, and Shaoni Dasgupta.


SASMS and Haiti Relief Project 
 
The American Red Cross thanked St. Andrew's for their generous contribution of $1800 for the Haiti Relief project. Thanks to all who had contributed!


Congratulations St. Andrew's!
 
St. Andrew's School of Math and Science met all of their 2009 federal Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) targets under the No Child Left Behind law. Click here for the news release.
